VENTANAS, ECUADOR – NOVEMBER 8, 2025 Two perpetrators on a motorcycle began shooting at a group of people standing outside a bar in the Ventanas canton. Five of them were hit and suffered injuries of varying severity. One of them, 17-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The police are currently investigating the case intensively and trying to identify the perpetrators and their motive. It cannot be ruled out that the incident is related to organized crime in the city.
