Three on motorcycle struck by garbage truck

CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA – FEBRUARY 23, 2026 Tragic traffic accident occurred on La Cuchara Street in the El Pozón neighborhood. According to initial reports, three people were riding on a motorcycle when a garbage truck hit them. One of the passengers, a young woman, remained pinned under the wheels of the heavy vehicle after the impact and died at the scene. Two other people, a man and a woman, suffered injuries. The man escaped with minor injuries, while the other woman suffered devastating injuries to her lower limb.
