MILAGRES, CEARÁ, BRAZIL – AUGUST 28, 2025 At the 498th kilometer of the BR-116 highway, near the entrance to CE-293, a serious traffic accident occurred. For unknown reasons, a truck with a trailer and a motorcyclist collided. The accident claimed the life of the motorcyclist, identified as 33-year-old João Marcelo Alves dos Santos. The truck’s wheels completely crushed him, and he died at the scene.

The truck driver provided first aid by calling an ambulance and the police and remained at the scene, cooperating fully with authorities. A breathalyzer test for alcohol on the driver came back negative.
João Marcelo Alves dos Santos was from Brejo Santo and worked as a physiotherapist. He was very well-liked in his community. His death deeply saddened his family, friends, and patients.
