DOMINICAN REPUBLIC During a live broadcast of the Dominican program “El Café de Diario 55”, Mario Ureña, a well-known transport association leader, tragically passed away. The incident occurred while the panel was discussing the current situation in transportation, and Ureña had been invited to share his perspective on conflicts in the sector. During the discussion, he suddenly showed signs of distress, lost his balance, and collapsed in front of the hosts.
The production team immediately cut the broadcast and called emergency responders, who arrived shortly after the incident. Despite their efforts, his death was confirmed on the spot. Early reports suggest a sudden heart attack may have been the cause, though the exact reason is still under investigation.
