GHANA Video shows the drastic aftermath of a head-on collision between two tricycles (also known as tuk-tuks). Two people died at the scene, and several others were seriously injured. Updates on their condition have not been provided, so it is unknown if the death toll has increased.
Although tricycles are a fast and cheap transportation option, their safety remains a major concern. Their thin metal frames offer virtually no protection to passengers during crashes. Seat belts are also typically absent.
