NINOY AQUINO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MANILA, PHILIPPINES – MAY 4, 2025 In the early hours, a tragic accident occurred at Ninoy Aquino (NAIA) Airport in Parañaque City. An SUV crashed into Departure Terminal 1, hitting several people. A 28-year-old man and a 5-year-old girl died in the accident. Four other people were injured – three of them, aged 55, 34, and 4, were taken to San Juan De Dios Hospital.
According to police statements, the driver claimed that when he started the car, a sedan passed in front of him, which distracted him and he forgot to move his foot to the brake pedal. The vehicle then drove into people at the entrance. However, CCTV footage from the scene may suggest that it was an intentional act. His driver’s license was suspended for 90 days and he was subjected to a drug test. No other information is known.
