Two thieves were caught right in the act. An enraged mob took justice into its own hands and beat them both up.
This case represents a milder form of street justice. In some African countries, it’s not uncommon for a thief to be lynched to death even for a minor theft. Even though this is a milder form, the violence cannot be justified. Beating a person, even a thief, is a fundamental violation of their human rights. Matters like this should always be handled by the police and the official state justice system.
