SALAMANCA, GUANAJUATO, MEXICO – JUNE 3, 2025 Tragic traffic accident occurred in the Benito Juárez neighborhood at the intersection of Comunicación Oriente and Agustín Sánchez streets. The driver of a city public transport bus failed to yield to two young men traveling on a motorcycle and struck them in the middle of the intersection. One of the riders was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other suffered serious injuries. The bus driver fled without providing first aid.
The investigation showed that the motorcycle rider never had a driver’s license. His motorcycle also lacked the required registration plate. However, this does not excuse the bus driver’s responsibility.
The incident serves as a warning to all motorcyclists – even if you do nothing wrong and follow traffic laws, someone else’s mistake can easily cost you your life. On a motorcycle, it’s essential to anticipate the errors of other road users and wear protective gear, including a helmet. Only then can you protect the most important things you have – your health and your life.
