MEXICO CITY, MEXICO, 2017 Young woman named Tania was dating a dangerous member of a local cartel branch. She did not know, however, that she was also in the sights of his rivals, even though she herself was not involved in any criminal activity.

When they were having lunch together in San Juan de Aragón district, several armed men burst into the restaurant and started shooting without asking. Her boyfriend immediately fell dead to the ground, but Tania managed to escape and hide in the crowd. After the attack, she decided to seek refuge in her friend’s apartment several blocks away.
When evening came, both thought it was safe to go out and called a taxi. However, the taxi had not even gone 3 blocks when armed men began shooting at it. Both girls were hit and died at the scene. The taxi driver miraculously survived.
