LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA – FEBRUARY 4, 2026 Serious fire broke out in the heart of Hollywood, claiming one life and injuring another. Flames began engulfing a family home at 1760 North Vista Del Mar Avenue just before 3:00 AM, prompting an immediate response from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Nearby neighbors were awakened by the light and crackle of the fire as more than 40 firefighters rushed to the scene to contain the blaze and protect surrounding homes. Thanks to their swift response, they managed to bring the flames under control and extinguish the fire in about 20 minutes.
The first victim was a 15-year-old girl, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The second person was an approximately 70-year-old woman, found by firefighters in critical condition; she was initially thought to be dead as well, but was revived through emergency resuscitation and transported to the hospital.
