TAIWAN – AUGUST 14, 2025 Fatal incident occurred at an unspecified container terminal in Taiwan. One of the workers was killed by a reversing loaded truck that started moving on its own because the handbrake had not been engaged. The truck crushed him against a fence.
The incident was captured on CCTV by security staff, but by the time they reached the scene, the victim showed no signs of life. The blame is placed on the truck driver, who failed to engage the handbrake, a serious violation of workplace safety rules.
