SOUTH AFRICA Confused driver entered the highway going the wrong way and recklessly continued driving at full speed. He collided head-on with at least two vehicles. The horrific accident claimed the lives of three people. One of the men was even torn in half by the impact.
Highways are usually designed to minimize the risk of driving the wrong way. However, if it happens for some reason, it is necessary to stay calm and keep a cool head. Turn on your hazard lights and pull over to the emergency lane or the edge of the highway. Then call the police immediately. Any attempts to turn around or drive to the next exit are extremely dangerous.
