SERRA, ESPÍRITO SANTO, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 5, 2025 Man identified as 48-year-old Fábio Lopes was found dead in the Serra Dourada II neighborhood. The body was discovered by local residents on Avenida Goiânia Street with multiple injuries and signs of torture and violence.
It later emerged that Fábio was a convicted zoophile who had been caught a few days before his death engaging in sexual intercourse with his female dog. Several witnesses stated that local gangsters who control the neighborhood territory had beaten him this way. However, no specific perpetrators were identified.
In Brazilian neighborhoods controlled by gangs, their own laws and enforcement also apply. Punishments are usually physical and often include executions or torture. Zoophilia is considered absolutely unacceptable by many gangsters.
