Her mother, 49-year-old Niurka Denise Cabrera Bueno, stated that she last saw her daughter alive when she left the house accompanied by her two 22-year-old friends, Mario Melvin Checo Núñez and Jorge Luis Reyes Domínguez. They reportedly were going to the Navarrete park, but in reality, they went to Domínguez’s house.
Although Marisleidy suffered from behavioral disorders and regularly visited a psychologist, the psychologist indicated that Marisleidy did not show suicidal behavior.
The case was therefore investigated as a possible murder, and Mario Melvin Checo Núñez and Jorge Luis Reyes Domínguez were detained as a precaution. The outcome is unknown.
