GORONTALO, INDONESIA – JUNE 8, 2023 Servina Danupoyo, 19, a student at Universitas Bina Mandiri (UBM) was found hanged in her room at the boarding house. Her father and a friend went to the scene and forced their way into the room when they could not reach Servina for more than 24 hours.

The police report states that all signs of suicide were found at the scene and there is no indication that anyone else was involved in her death. Nevertheless, she was sent for a forensic autopsy. There was blood under her hanging body, which is not usual in these cases.
The motive for her suicide may have been depression, which Servina had suffered from for a long time. She had a sick mother and was also struggling with relationship problems. She also had economic problems.
