TAPACHULA, CHIAPAS, MEXICO When some residents of Tapachula heard a woman screaming loudly and several gunshots, they went to the scene to see what was going on. When they reached the spot, they saw only the corpse of a young woman lying there in a pool of blood.
The victim
Further investigation revealed that it was 22-year-old Ivon, who was last seen at a nightclub where she was picked up by a group of men. Some witnesses said it looked more like a kidnapping than a peaceful pick-up.
Forensic autopsy showed she was shot at least twice. She was shot once directly in the mouth, indicating that she was executed in cold blood at that location.
