Completely unnecessary death of Indian motorcyclist

POONCH, JAMMU AND KASHMIR, INDIA – AUGUST 20, 2025 Young cricket player, Fareed Hussain, died in a tragic traffic accident on his scooter. His death can be described as completely unnecessary, caused by a total disregard for traffic rules and basic safety.

He was riding down the street on his scooter when the driver of a parked car suddenly opened the door, creating an immediate obstacle in his path. He had no time to brake, swerve, or react in any way. The collision was unavoidable.

Although Fareed was not traveling at high speed, the impact proved fatal. Falling onto the hard asphalt, he suffered severe head injuries. Doctors pronounced him dead shortly after he was transported to the hospital.

Security camera footage sparked widespread outrage online. Many people pointed out how neglecting even the most basic traffic rules and safety measures can have deadly consequences. They are right – if the driver had checked their mirror, or if Fareed had been wearing a helmet, this tragedy might have been avoided.

Fareed was a talented cricket player who competed in regional tournaments and had already built a solid reputation in the cricket community. His death is a tremendous loss for the sports community in Poonch.
