CIUDAD DEL ESTE, ALTO PARANÁ, PARAGUAY – JULY 8, 2024 Dramatic traffic accident in Ciudad del Este claimed the life of a young man and seriously injured another. The incident occurred on July 8, 2024, around 11:50 PM on road PY02, km 11.5 Acaray. A black Toyota Hilux Surf pickup, driven by 35-year-old Gabriel González Acosta, overturned on the roadside after losing control of the vehicle.
During the rollover, his passenger, 25-year-old Aldo Javier Segovia Candia, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal head injuries. The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the regional hospital in Ciudad del Este. Police arrived promptly, secured the area, and launched an investigation. The victim’s body was transported to a funeral home, where a forensic doctor determined the cause of death as multiple head injuries from the traffic accident.
