GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE, 2025 Terrorist organization Hamas, which currently governs the Gaza Strip, organized a public execution of three Palestinian prisoners in the middle of a square. The victims were shown with their hands tied behind their backs and blindfolded. Three Hamas soldiers then kicked them to the ground and shot them in the back of the head in front of hundreds of onlookers.
Although the exact crimes of these prisoners are unknown, the context suggests they likely did something that threatened Hamas’s authority, most probably spying for Israel. Public executions in such cases are carried out as examples, aiming to keep the population fearful and obedient.
