LAGOS, NIGERIA – JULY 4, 2024 Criminal gang was preparing to kidnap several wealthy individuals in the Ladipo area of Mushin. Specialized police units had been closely monitoring the gang and raided them on the day they were planning the abduction. A shootout ensued, during which the police killed nine of the gang members. Two others were shot but managed to escape.
During the police search of their hideout, a number of weapons and equipment were seized, including four AK-47 assault rifles, four homemade semi-automatic pistols, several radios, and the gang’s operational vehicles. These included a black Toyota 4Runner and a blue Lexus RX350.
