BARRANQUILLA, ATLÁNTICO, COLOMBIA – SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 Hitmen came for their victim, Maicol Michael Castellanos Cuentas, at the car repair shop in the La Sierrita neighborhood, where he worked as a mechanic. They arrived at the intersection of Carrera 6 and Calle 72 on a motorcycle and started shooting without asking questions. He was hit more than six times in different parts of the body.
His wife also witnessed the entire attack and, in post-traumatic shock, tried to revive him. With the help of bystanders, he was then loaded onto a motorcycle and transported to the San Ignacio clinic. Doctors on site confirmed that he succumbed to his injuries.
It is not yet entirely clear what the motive for the attack may have been, nor the identity of the perpetrators. The police are working hard to investigate the case.
