SIDRAP, SOUTH SULAWESI, INDONESIA – SEPTEMBER 5, 2025 34-year-old woman, identified only by the initials MKP, was found dead in a motel room in the Dua Pitue district. She was lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood with multiple stab wounds across her body.
During her stay, a man wearing a hood visited her. His movements around the motel were captured on security cameras. He entered her room, after which screams were heard. This alerted a motel employee who went to check, but at that moment the suspect burst out of the door and fled. The employee then discovered MKP dead.

Although police are still investigating, the main suspect is her husband, who is believed to have had the strongest motive for her murder. Another line of inquiry, however, suggested that MKP was a sex worker who had checked into the motel to meet men and provide paid sexual services.
