WONOSARI, BENGKALIS, RIAU, INDONESIA – SEPTEMBER 7, 2025 When a local villager was searching for grass for his livestock on Jalan Perjuangan, he made a horrifying discovery in a rubber plantation. He found the body of a hanged man in an advanced state of decomposition. The body was almost skeletal, with only the last remnants of dried tissue remaining.
The police immediately took charge of the discovery, and using missing persons databases and the victim’s personal belongings, they identified him as a local resident named Febrian. He had been reported missing for at least a week, though he had likely been dead for much longer.
The exact reasons that drove him to the desperate act of taking his own life remain unknown and are the subject of police investigation. Febrian was the son of a retired public prosecutor and lived with his parents following his divorce.
