SAN PEDRO POCHUTLA, OAXACA, MEXICO – FEBRUARY, 2016 Passerby discovered the bodies of two women on a dirt road connecting the towns of Santo Domingo de Morelos and San Francisco Cozoaltepec. Their hands were tied behind their backs, and they had gunshot wounds to the head, indicating they had been executed in an execution-style killing. A warning note signed by a drug cartel was found with the bodies. The victims were identified as 46-year-old Teófila Ramírez Martínez and her 29-year-old daughter Ana Rodríguez Martínez.
