SAN MARTÍN, META, COLOMBIA – OCTOBER 5, 2025 Well-known cattle rancher Gonzalo Gualteros Blanco was murdered in the early hours while enjoying a cup of coffee at a local café on 11th Street between 6th and 7th intersections. He was surprised by a masked man who began shooting without warning, with immediate and fatal consequences.

The police are currently reviewing camera footage and witness statements to try to determine the motive and the identity of the perpetrator. Many people described Gonzalo as an entirely trouble-free guy who had no enemies.
