RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 27, 2025 In the Andaraí neighborhood, a shootout occurred between two rival gangs, Comando Vermelho (CV) and Terceiro Comando Puro (TCP). The incident left one dead and two innocent people injured by stray bullets. The deceased belonged to the TCP group and was known by the nickname “Magal.”
One random witness filmed from his apartment window how CV members finish him off on Leopoldo Street. While he lies injured on the ground, two CV members run up to him, and one of them shoots him in the head several times with a pistol.
In Rio de Janeiro, violent clashes regularly occur between the two most well-known drug gangs – CV and TCP. These confrontations often take place in the northern and western neighborhoods, turning streets into battlefields and affecting innocent residents. Conflicts between CV and TCP are driven by control over drug trade and territory, and although police deploy reinforcements, the situation remains tense and deadly, often resulting in injuries or fatalities.
