SUCRE, COLOMBIA – OCTOBER 31, 2025 On the road connecting the towns of Guaranda and Majagual, in the Boca El Canal area, a fatal accident occurred involving a motorcycle convoy. Two people died and several others were seriously injured.
The deceased were identified as Andrés Celsa and Ever Ríos. According to available information, they were not part of the convoy but were simply riding home from work at a local sawmill, where they were employed as laborers.
The motorcycle convoy was organized by a local biker club for a Halloween celebration. The riders were wearing spooky masks. However, the convoy had not been reported to authorities in advance, making it illegal.
According to initial reports, the crash happened when a vehicle in front of the convoy – also part of it – suddenly braked. Because the motorcyclists were riding too close together, they couldn’t react in time and began colliding one after another. Andrés and Ever were reportedly coming from the opposite direction when one of the convoy riders, trying to avoid the pileup, veered into their lane.
