CHINA, 2018 Body of a dead Chinese woman was found stuffed into a freezer inside plastic bags. Based on these indications alone, police were able to rule out an accident and launched a murder investigation.
Standard procedures were carried out at the scene, including an initial examination of the body and photographic documentation of both the victim and the location. Her body was then sent for a forensic autopsy to determine the exact cause and time of death and to secure any possible biological traces of the perpetrator. The fact that she was found in a freezer significantly helped investigators, as cold temperatures slow natural decomposition processes.
