NABIRE, CENTRAL PAPUA, INDONESIA – NOVEMBER 17, 2025 14-year-old boy was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle with his older brother on the way to school when a tragic traffic accident occurred, and he unfortunately died. The crash was caused by the rider overestimating his abilities, riding at high speed and failing to fully focus on the traffic situation around him. He hit a pedestrian, causing both of them to fall off the motorcycle. The 14-year-old boy fell directly under the wheels of a car, which ran over him and killed him instantly.
The boys’ father was informed immediately, since he works as a police officer. When he arrived at the scene, he couldn’t hold back his tears and loaded his son’s body onto the back of a pickup truck, which drove him straight to the morgue.
This incident serves as a brutal reminder for all motorcyclists and parents. Do not overestimate your abilities and always follow traffic laws. You only have one life and one body. From a parent’s perspective, it’s extremely important to teach your children about the dangers and only allow them to ride if they are mentally mature enough.
