BOTEN, LAOS – MARCH, 2026 Chinese tourist bought and took a larger amount of an unknown drug in Laos. Within moments, he collapsed and fell to the ground. A crowd immediately gathered around him, called an ambulance, and tried to provide first aid. Despite that, he unfortunately died from an overdose.
The incident highlights the dangers associated with drug use. If the substance is bought on the street, it is always like a lottery, because without laboratory equipment it is not possible to determine the strength of the active ingredient, nor any other additives.
