KRABI, THAILAND – APRIL 4, 2026 19-year-old woman working as a drink vendor at a stall inside a shopping center was attacked with boiling oil. The oil was poured on her by a female coworker from a nearby stand selling fried meatballs during an argument.
Oil burns are extremely painful and often reach third-degree severity, sometimes requiring plastic surgery and skin grafts. However, no updates on the victim’s medical condition have been released so far.
The attacker attempted to flee the scene but was restrained by bystanders. During her police statement, she claimed it was an accident and that she simply tripped, causing the oil to spill. However, CCTV footage reportedly suggests clear intent.
