RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – APRIL 26, 2025 Tragic incident occurred during preparations for a major public concert featuring Colombian pop star Shakira. While the stage was being assembled, one of the workers suffered serious injuries and later died from them.
According to the state fire department, the man ended up in a dangerous situation while working when he became trapped in a lifting mechanism used to build the structure. As a result, he sustained severe crushing injuries to his lower limbs. Witnesses at the scene said the accident happened suddenly and the worker had no chance to escape in time.
The case is now being investigated by the relevant authorities, who will determine the exact circumstances of the accident and whether all safety measures were followed during the construction.
