JOAO PESSOA, PARAÍBA, BRAZIL – MAY 15, 2026 Violent murder occurred in which a man was shot with several dozen rounds. The attack took place near a railway track and caused concern among local residents, who said they heard a large number of gunshots.
According to the initial findings of the police, the attackers assaulted the victim from close range and hit him with more than 30 shots. The most serious injuries were suffered in the man’s head and face area, which led to his immediate death at the scene.
During the crime scene examination, investigators secured approximately 50 shell casings of various calibers, which were found in the surrounding area. The amount of ammunition discovered suggests that multiple shooters may have been involved in the attack. Some bullets also struck the entrance gate of a nearby house, creating a risk for other residents in the area.
The name and other information about the identity of the murdered man had not been officially released at the time of the report. Police also did not provide any details about the possible motive for the attack or the suspects.
