Wounded gang member pleads with police to spare him

ECUADOR Gangster was shot during a shootout with the Ecuadorian police and remained lying on the ground seriously injured. When the police officers approached him more closely, he surrendered and begged them for mercy – apparently he was afraid they would not act according to the law and would shoot him.
