UBRIQUE, CÁDIZ, SPAIN – SEPTEMBER 9, 2025 Traditional Toro del Gayumbo bull festival ended tragically. During the event, a 57-year-old man was fatally injured after being attacked by a bull released into the streets as part of the festival.
The man tried to escape from the enraged animal and climb to safety, but he lost his balance and fell to the ground. The bull then repeatedly gored him with its horns, causing severe injuries. Although he was transported to a medical facility, he later succumbed to his injuries. Following the tragedy, local authorities declared a day of mourning and canceled the planned fireworks display.
