SABANETA, BOLÍVAR, VENEZUELA – AUGUST 13, 2026 71-year-old Cecilio Antonio Marrero died in the hospital on August 16, 2026, after suffering serious injuries in an attack by two dogs. The attack occurred while Marrero was walking along a public road. According to available information, the dogs had escaped from private property.
The dogs inflicted deep wounds on various parts of his body, damaging vital organs and causing significant blood loss. Marrero was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he spent three days in the intensive care unit. Despite medical treatment, his condition was further complicated by severe injuries and subsequent infectious complications, which he ultimately succumbed to.
