VICTORIA, ENTRE RÍOS, ARGENTINA 16-year-old teenager was celebrating “Último Primer Día” using fireworks. He did not follow the instructions and held it in his hand. The firework suddenly malfunctioned and exploded directly in his hand, tearing it off.
Último Primer Día takes place on the night before the first school day of the final year of high school. Students go out into the streets, where they often celebrate all night. This includes risky behavior such as alcohol and drug use or using fireworks.
The incident is a harsh reminder of how dangerous fireworks can be if they are not used according to the manufacturer’s instructions. It is also important not to underestimate proper storage or to only buy certified products from trustworthy sources.
