BARUTA, MIRANDA, VENEZUELA – AUGUST 25, 2025 While walking on a street in the central part of the city, a high-voltage electrical cable reportedly fell and struck two people – a 47-year-old woman and her 12-year-old grandson. Both were killed at the scene as a result of electrocution.
According to local information, the cable was part of the city’s electrical infrastructure, and it likely became detached or damaged, which is not an uncommon issue in Venezuela due to the long-discussed condition of the electrical grid and infrastructure maintenance.
