Jammu and Kashmir has long been one of the most tense regions in South Asia. The territory is mainly disputed between India and Pakistan, while various militant groups operate in the area, seeking either independence or annexation to Pakistan. For decades, the region has been the site of armed clashes, terrorist attacks, and large-scale military operations, significantly affecting the daily lives of local residents.
