GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE Video has surfaced online showing the aftermath of an attack on Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City. The footage shows extensive damage to the hospital buildings and the surrounding area. Numerous dead bodies can also be seen throughout the scene.
The hospital has been struck multiple times during the war in the Gaza Strip in separate incidents. The Israeli military has repeatedly stated that it targets sites which, according to its intelligence, are being used by Hamas as command centers, weapons storage facilities, or other military infrastructure, and claims that Hamas operates from areas near civilian facilities.
Hamas denies these allegations. As a result, attacks on hospitals and other civilian sites remain among the most controversial aspects of the conflict, and their legality and proportionality are frequently the subject of international disputes and investigations.
