AJAX, ONTARIO, CANADA – JULY 11, 2026 Tragic accident claimed the life of a 64-year-old woman. The incident occurred at the intersection of Harwood Avenue South and Hunt Street, where she was struck and dragged by a dump truck as it was making a right turn.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene immediately and attempted to resuscitate the woman. Despite their efforts, she succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The truck driver remained at the scene after the crash and cooperated with police.
The case is being investigated by Durham Regional Police, who are working to determine the exact circumstances of the collision. Investigators have also asked witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
