KARAWANG BARAT, KARAWANG, WEST JAVA, INDONESIA – JANUARY 19, 2025 Woman wanted to cut her way across the tracks but didn’t notice the approaching train. She was struck and died instantly. Video shows city workers cleaning up her mangled body. The victim was not identified at the scene and it has since been unknown if officers were able to identify her later.
The incident has sparked a debate in Indonesia about the safety of crossing train tracks. Police are strongly urging the public not to cross the tracks other than at designated areas. This rule applies not only to Indonesia but also globally.
