BAHRAICH DISTRICT, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA – JULY 16, 2026 Twelve-year-old Sunil Singh became the victim of a crocodile attack in the Ghaghara River after helping with transplanting rice in local fields. After finishing the work, the boy went to the river to wash his hands and feet. While he was near the riverbank, a crocodile suddenly attacked him, grabbed him, and pulled him below the water’s surface. People who were present tried to save him, but they were unable to drive the animal away. The boy’s body was later found during a search operation.
