SERBIA, 2026 Sixty-one-year-old farmer died in an accident while working in a field, where he was later found near his tractor and a tree. The man had been working alone all day, and no witnesses were present at the time of the incident.
Police discovered his body at dusk between the tractor and the tree trunk. The agricultural machine was still running, which indicated that the accident occurred during work. The investigation showed that the tractor was likely moving backward, and its rear wheel first struck the man and then ran over him.
Forensic experts concluded that the injuries were consistent with an accident caused by heavy machinery, not an intentional attack. The cause of death was fatal head and neck injuries caused by the mechanism of the accident. The tractor separated his head from the rest of his body.
Toxicological testing later revealed the presence of alcohol in his blood, while no other substances were detected. The death was ultimately classified as an unfortunate workplace accident involving agricultural machinery.
