CEREZAL, SUCRE, VENEZUELA – AUGUST 8, 2026 Serious traffic accident occurred on Venezuela’s T009 national highway, which connects the cities of Cumaná and Cariaco. According to all available information, a car driver crashed into a motorcycle carrying two passengers and fled the scene of the accident. Both men on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries, with one of them sustaining an almost completely amputated leg. No updates on their medical condition or information on whether they survived are available. Police are intensively investigating the accident and searching for the fleeing driver.
