QUITO, ECUADOR – AUGUST 30, 2025 Organized group of armed men planned the robbery of two buses. Under the threat of a pointed firearm, they went to each passenger and demanded the surrender of personal valuables or cash. However, one of the men resisted, after which the robber responded by shooting him in the abdomen. The man was seriously injured and transported to the hospital in critical condition. Updates on his medical condition are not available.
