LALITPUR, UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA – AUGUST 10, 2026 21-year-old Bharati Kushwaha died in a tragic traffic accident in India’s Lalitpur district. The woman was riding a motorcycle with her husband, Deepak, to the city, where she was supposed to seek medical treatment.
According to police, a speeding truck crashed into their motorcycle while they were turning. The impact threw her husband off the road, but Bharati fell under the wheels of the truck and suffered fatal injuries, dying at the scene.
The truck driver did not stop after the accident and fled the scene. Police are now using CCTV footage to search for the vehicle and its driver. Bharati had been married for approximately 14 months.
