PANCHKULA, HARYANA, INDIA – AUGUST 13, 2026 Two workers died after a hydraulic crane overturned while lifting a heavy generator. The accident occurred in the Phase II industrial area.
The victims were identified as Naveen, an approximately 22-year-old man from Himachal Pradesh, and Manish, an approximately 23-year-old man from Bihar. Both men were sitting on the generator during the lifting operation. When the crane became unbalanced at a height of approximately the third floor, it overturned, causing both men and the generator to fall to the ground. They suffered severe head injuries and died.
The crane operator suffered only minor injuries. Electrical poles and power lines were also damaged in the accident. Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and examining why the crane lost its stability.
