QUANG BINH, THANH HOA PROVINCE, VIETNAM – SEPTEMBER 9, 2026 Tragic accident occurred in the morning on Provincial Road 511 in the Hien Tay settlement. 67-year-old Le Dinh Thanh was riding his motorcycle northbound when a freshly cut mahogany tree suddenly fell onto him.
The tree was being cut down by 43-year-old Nguyen Quang Tho, who had been hired to remove it from in front of a house. The falling tree struck Le Dinh Thanh and caused him serious injuries. The man was taken to Quang Luu Health Station, where he later died.
The case is currently being investigated by police. It is not yet clear who, if anyone, was at fault.
