DON CHEDI, SUPHAN BURI, THAILAND – MAY 2, 2026 14-year-old boy was severely injured by an electric shock while installing lighting for a festival. During the work, he climbed onto scaffolding, where he came into contact with electrical wiring and was left hanging motionless from the structure.
People at the scene subsequently attempted to get him down using plastic chairs and traffic cones. The boy was eventually brought down and taken to a hospital by rescuers. At the time the report was published, doctors said he was in critical condition and unresponsive.
The boy was identified in the media only as Nong A, a pseudonym used to protect his identity. According to available information, he earned extra money by installing lights and equipment for local events.
